About the Journal

Paranalar International Journal of Communication (PIJoC) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing theoretical, empirical, methodological, and critical scholarship in communication studies.

PIJoC provides an interdisciplinary forum for research on communication and its relationships with media, culture, politics, development, organizations, communities, digital technologies, and social transformation. The journal welcomes work addressing local, national, regional, transnational, and global contexts, with particular interest in scholarship from Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and the Global South.

Aims

PIJoC aims to strengthen communication scholarship by bringing together theoretical development, rigorous empirical inquiry, methodological innovation, and critical reflection. It promotes meaningful dialogue between locally grounded realities and wider regional and international academic debates.

Publication Model

PIJoC is published three times a year, in February, June, and October. The journal provides immediate open access to published articles and charges no submission fees or Article Processing Charges (APCs).
